Shops now sell skills, and players can easily buy them for each character. Characters can now upgrade their weapons to level 70, maximum bodyguards are 30 instead of 50 and 20 in the original. A new mode called Mercenary Mode is added, players will be able to hire more AI-controlled mercenaries to fight alongside them.
This section features four new legendary samurai and two old characters but redesigned and used new weapons, each with a story of their own. The plot of the game remains the same from the original, adding new characters and gameplay.
